Bleeding During Ovulation

Some women experience bleeding during ovulation but this is a rare case. Although it is thought of as bleeding, this is actually a mid-cycle spotting and it happens when there is a considerable decline in the amount of estrogen level of a woman.

This however is not a case to worry about. This decline in a woman’s estrogen level is a normal part of the menstrual cycle of a woman and the bleeding only happens very lightly and lasts in a brief period.

Women who regularly experience bleeding during ovulation or mid-cycle bleeding can easily predict their ovulation. With the use of other ovulation predictors, they can determine easily the best time to get pregnant.

However, it is important that a woman checks with a physician to make sure that the bleeding is not a serious case.

There are other causes of bleeding during ovulation that are not related to ones menstrual cycle.

Bleeding can be caused by the use of birth control pills. The use of birth control pills can cause bleeding during the first few months because the uterine lining adjusts to the hormones.

Uterine fibroids that can grow in the uterine wall may also cause bleeding during ovulation. These fibroids can be removed through surgery.

Uterine polyps may also develop in the uterine and can also cause the bleeding. Hormonal imbalance is also believed to cause bleeding if the cycle does not work properly.

There are also prescriptions drugs may also have an adverse effect to the menstrual cycle of a woman and may cause spotting. Infection and serious diseases like cancer may also cause bleeding during ovulation.

Bleeding during ovulation goes away even if untreated. But once it persists and it becomes severe you better consult your health provider. You might be dealing with a severe disease that needs immediate attention.
