The Best Ovulation Monitor

An ovulation monitor is also called a fertility monitor because it is a device that is used by women to know what the days are, within the month, when she is most fertile.

Maybe for most cases nowadays, people are more scared of getting pregnant than of the opposite. Half a century ago, pregnancy is a blessing.

It is something a married couple, and their relatives look forward to. Pregnancy was not only a blessing. It was good luck. Aspiring parents would even so anything to get pregnant.

During that time, an ovulation monitor would have been a revolutionary device.

A woman undergoes a menstrual cycle every month. And in this menstrual cycle, hormonal changes happen. There are three hormones involved here – estradiol, luteinizing hormones and progesterone. Before ovulation, the amount of estradiol gradually grows.

Then the luteinizing hormones level surges just right before ovulation. After ovulation, progesterone will increase.

This is the body’s way of preparing the body of a woman for pregnancy. But if a woman does not get pregnant or no fertilization happened, the body’s progesterone level radically decreases and then menstrual period happens.

The process in the preceding paragraph is what the device monitors. A person who wishes to get pregnant uses this to know when her fertility is at its peak.

Ovulation only happens once a month, a woman has to have sex before or after the day of her ovulation. The egg during the ovulation process survives for only about 24 hours.

A woman trying to become pregnant may use this device to monitor the time when she is ovulating. This takes place once a month and lasts for about 24 hours. So she can become pregnant, sperm should unite with the woman’s egg on or before the day she ovulates.

Before people love it when someone is pregnant. Now, as there is a lot of unwanted pregnancy, pregnancy has been news not happily told. But regardless, using an ovulation monitor is still a great device to knowing when the best or worst time is for love-making.
